We were really pleased support the Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge again this year, by providing our delivery vehicles to help transport bikes back to the start line. The event is held annually to help raise much needed funds for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. It plays such an important role in the local community so we were delighted to offer our support.
There was a huge turnout for this year's challenge, held last Sunday 15th May, with hundreds of cyclists of all ages and abilities taking part! All the way from 9 year olds to 79 year olds! As in previous years, there were two cycle routes, a 55 mile ride from Watchet Harbour and an 11 mile ride from Drimpton. It was excellent to see so many keen cyclists taking on the more taxing 55 mile route this year, with the extra money this will raise.
This year’s Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge was a huge success and we thoroughly look forward to supporting them again next year. Find our more about Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance by visiting www.dsairambulance.org.uk
