Great choice of designs colours and finishes.
With design styles in ribbed or panelled variations, in a number of surface finishes, these doors are far more the discerning buyer’s choice. There are two types of sectional door design:

- Georgian
We also now offer a choice of surface finishes for linear sectional doors which includes
When you combine these sectional door designs with the surface finishes and range of colours, you are sure to be able to find a door to suit your property. We currently offer 15 standard colours for silkgrain or woodgrain finishes.
Let’s not forget about the choice of timber effect finishes and the new silkgrain titan metallic finish on premium sectional doors. The timber effect coating has been manufactured to preserve the appearance of the door for the long term.
Thermal insulation options
With a choice of single skin Classic style, Standard 20mm insulated doors and Premium 42mm thick insulated doors sectional garage doors are ideal for workshops and integral garages where thermal insulation can be very important.
Furthermore, each of the joints on individual sections of a sectional garage door are surrounded by rubber seals, to help improve thermal insulation. A sectional garage door is better thermally insulated with a lower U Value of 1.3 W/m2K, whilst a typical up & over has a U value of 5.8 W/m2K.
No loss of drive through width or height
Unlike up & over garage doors, sectional doors are made from sections and run on vertical then horizontal tracks to lift and open the door into the garage. This means you have no loss of drive through width or height and you can park as close to your garage door as you want. Whereas this is not possible with a canopy up & over garage door, as it protrudes outwards by about 1/3 when open. A sectional door is also ideal for short drives or larger vehicles (4x4 and MPVs) where space inside the garage may also be a problem.
Manual or electrical
Sectional doors are suitable for either manual or electrical operation, so you can open the door by hand or have an automatic operator fitted with remotes so the door opens at the click of a button. Click here to view the new Series 3 range of GaraMatic operators and handsets.
Safe and reliable
As with all Garador garage doors, the sectional garage door comes with a reliable anti-drop device that will catch the door in the unlikely event of a spring failing or a cable snapping. In addition, the tracks running back into the garage have been designed with safety brackets to prevent the door wheels from derailing. Sectional garage doors comply with British Safety Standards BS EN 13241 and the same high grade of galvanised steel is used on sectional doors as up & over doors. So with a combination of superior engineering, ease of operation and fabulous good looks why wouldn’t you want a sectional garage door? In the long term, a sectional garage door offers greater reliability and peace of mind. To find your nearest stockist please visit www.garador.co.uk/stockists
